| If you are planning an
expedition into Honey Island Swamp, remember that all of
the sightings have been made on the Pearl River, not in
the tourist areas which have become popular with boat
trips. To begin your journey you'll need to drive to
Slidell, La. from there take I-59 to LA 41. From there to
Lock 1. The Lock 1 pantry will be your last outpost to
civilization, you can take a trail to the areas or take a
boat, it depends on how serious you are and how deep you
want to go. About a mile up the river from Lock One and
you will be well within the creatures domain. Yes, you
can camp there if you dare. Here are some photos of the
